James Jackson Elementary School Reviews

Jackson is a wonderful school. Everyone I have met from teachers to the counselors to the office staff have been very professional and friendly. My daughter was doing well in school but she really excelled once she came to this school. The teachers encourage students to think and have very high expectations for them. My daughter went from reading 3rd grade books to 5th grade ones by the end of her 3rd grade year. She is really prepared for 4th grade.

My son has attended Jackson since Kindergarten. I am very pleased with the education provided there. The teachers and office staff are always professional and the school counselors make a genuine effort to build positive rapport with the kids and parents. The school is clean and the parking lot is well-kept. I would recommend this school to any family in the surrounding area.

I love this school so much and so do my child and shes in the 5th grade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would not reccommend this school to anyone. There are many underlying issues involving this school, and Clayton County schools as a whole. My children attend this school, and some , not all of the staff are very unprofessional in their approach to teaching our children. When a parent wants to get involved some of these teachers have very negative attitudes, and are very hesitant to discuss what is going on with your child. It is my experience that Jackson needs to find better quality teachers and staff as a whole.

I enjoy sending my child to this school. She has learned so much during her kindergarten year. My child's confidence has grown tremendously with all the various activities being offered.

Jackson is a wonderful school. It's clean and healthy. They have a lot of after school programs. Their always having plays and programs and clubs. They even award the kids. There always having different fundraiser too. There music teacher always has different programs . Ms.Guida (the music teacher) has the children singing and dancing all the time. Ms.Thigpen (computer teacher) teaches them different academic skills on the computer and teaches them how to type and what the computer buttons do.They have three coaches Samanski,Burton, and Jackson they use discipline and fun to get the kids heart pumpin.Their art teacher lets hem learn about different people and things by drawing. The teachers have their own personalities. Strict and education is what every teacher has.
