Miller Grove Middle School Reviews

It is the best school that a child can go to.

I am very disappointed with the counseling staff and teachers at Middle Grove Middle School. I have been trying to get my som tested for a learning disability since the beginning of the school year. Needless to say, he has not been tested and school is almost out. In additon, homework is not given daily which is bad for my child. If homework is not given daily, how can the child reinforce what is being taught by the teacher. My child will not attend this school next year. This is his first and final year at this school

I was displeased with my child's expeience there. My child took advanced classes and the 3/5 of her teachers were lazy and did not challenge the students. The principal and other adminstrators are passive and come off as nonchalant. Needless to stay,my child is no longer there.

The school is very old but the teachers try to teach them something even though some children don't care

i attended miller grove 7th and 8th grade year. i am now in the 11th grade. i remeber the school being well organized and discipline. when i was giong there it was only about 3 teachers who showed signs of hostily. the teachers helped you with your work with your work and overall the school was great. everybody knew everybody. we took trips to the holocaust museum to learn more about it. but like i expressed while i was at miller grove the school was excellent. teachers constantly reached out to the students also for problems within themselves and those are the knid of teachers we need at all schools. the kind of principals and teachers who doesnt care about the money but furthuring the children education.

i hate it i hate it i hate it. The school is a old that needs to be rebuild and the bathrooms are messed up. the children are disrepectful to the teachers

I totally disagree with the school's policy of not providing homework nightly for the children. The work cannot be reinforced if homework is not given. I don't like my child having to go to Saturday school to do what should be done through the week! However, Saturday school is necessary because the work needs to be reinforced. I just believe if it was given nightly it would accomplish much more than the Saturday school. Thanks!

This is my daughter's first year there. I can say that I am happy with the school the teacher I must say are very Informative. They alway keep a open end. Even though my daughter is not doing her best the teachers and school is not at fault. I am a Parent that dont pass the buck and I know my child sometime play or talk too much. As far as I know her teacher and the school is the best I give Miller Grover 10 thumbs up Go Miller Grove...... :o)

my child has been a student at miller grove for 3 years and I have not been impressed. some of the stuff that my child turns in and makes an 'A' on, I would not accept myself!! The band is a joke. you pay your money for an instrument and uniforms and the teacher does not make it a requirement for them to participate in concerts, etc. My son is an 'A' student, but is not pushed or motivated to excel. This school is no longer a magnet school and I can see why. My home has not sold in 2 yrs, but we are getting out of Dekalb regardless.

When I think of miller grove I think of teachers who don't care enough about students, horrible bathrooms, nasty lunches, student's who cause to much drama, and a principal that's not involved enough. They can improve. However, there are bright and intelligent students that come from this school. But why go through the drama for three years?

I am very disappointed with the Academic Program my child is receiving at Miller Grove Middle. Parents are not informed in a timely matter about the progress of child. Their disciplinary tatics are harmful to children. Making a child carry all of their books from class to class. WE all know how heavy books are, and to carry all of them on their back all day is a bit much! That is a case waiting to happen. Teachers fallen asleep during class. Teachers aren't properly prepared for parent/teacher conferences. This is my childs 1st and last year attending this school. This is not a MAGNET school, HOW??

This school is a cool a fun school were your kids will learn and have the fun in a good way at the same time not just learn. Your kids can can receive awards just like me a student of miller grove middle school who received the principle awards and a student who received a document to represent my country in the different countries of this world so I can say miller grove middle is a very good school to send your children or child to make sure they get a very very good education from a fun and smart environment for kids and this school wills prove a very very very very very very good school if you enrol your kids or kid to this school.

I've been disappointed with the quality of education and the attentiveness of the teachers.

My child attended Miller Grove for three semesters, he was part of the Magnet program. I found the school to be fairly good. The teachers were attentive, and the new principle appeared to be very capable. The band program was very good. Miller Grove needs a program to assist any child that may fall behind or is struggling with a paticular subject. Some of the teachers would come to school early in the morning to assist students, unfortunately not enough of them and it was all volunteers.

I was very disappointed in the level of education my child received. The teacher communication is poor. Parents are usually informed of concerns after the fact, when it's too late to implement corrective tactics with your child. Lots of confusion as to who is 'in charge'. Reaching the Principal is almost impossible.

all i have to say is no one is left behind. sike
