Idlewood Elementary School Reviews

This is my second year teaching at Idlewood and I feel very honored to work at such a wonderful school!

Idlewood is a great school. This is my second year to be involved. The teachers and staff are uniquely committed to this school. The principal is incredible. She is extremely smart, amiable, and motivates the staff so well! There are many alumni that teach there and love the school and the kids. The parental involvement is [between] 10-20%. A lot the the parental involvement is behind the scenes and not in the typical parental orginizations. The kids are just as well behaved as any other elementary school in the area. The cirucullum is focused on reading and my son is getting more at Idlewood than the very expensive home school classical cirriculum I bought.

Idleood is a great school, and its filled with wonderful teachers. My child is in Mrs. Cuningham's class and I think so far she is a great teacher.

Idlewood has been a wonderful school and my child loves her teachers. Thanks to all the teachers and staff at Idlewood for working so hard. We could use more involvement from the parents.

Great school! We love the teachers and staff.

This is the worst school my son has been to. I would not recommend anyone sending their child to this school. This has been the worst experience my child has ever had. The teachers need to go back to college and learn some patience!

I think this school is a wonderful place for my child. I do think that more parents should get involved and do more to help make this great. It is a shame that the people who complain are the ones who do nothing to be involved. I have had a very positive experience in part because I know that I have to do my part as a parent. The school nor the teachers can do it all. And I do my part.

The school has a new Principal and she does not communicate with the parents and was last years assistant principal. When there is a problem the principal does not help you to solve it, she should not be in that position she should leave it to someone who really cares for the children. I am VERY dissapointed with the school and do not recomend it.

My daughters first year in kindergarten and she did not like it at all. I did not like the way the principal or second teacher handled my child. The principal was not concerned. I would not let her attend for 2004/2005 school year. I am a concerned parent i do not see any growth potential at the school for majority children. It is a non approaching administartion at the school.

This is a very violent school. The Principals don't seem to care about the children's safety, especially the girls'. Do NOT send your child to this school!

2003-2004 was my child's first year at Idlewood. I would not recommend this school to any parent. No afterschool program, no enrichment activities, a diversified student body that is not celebrated, major discipline problems, and my child learned hardly any science or social studies lessons! Worst of all, there are many teachers who do not care about their students achievement. It is very sad.
