Druid Hills High School Reviews

I am a rising senior at Druid Hills. My past three years here have been amazing. The teachers really care about the students and work to help them excel. The student body is very diverse so it is easy to find another student with similar interests. The renovations and addition to the school are almost complete so the school should be even better in years to come.

My son loves it. He is graduating 2009. Pleasant atmosphere for the most part.

I am a former student from Druid Hills High School, and I loved it. Everyone thereis so nice. i really miss it.

This was my daughter's first year at Druid Hills and we have nothing but good things to report! She feels like the classes were well taught as do I.If we were to move out of the area I would try my best to have her stay at this school.I am very pleased!

I graduated from DHHS in 2003. Druid Hills gives you a GREAT mixture of students as well as quality academics. Upon finishing my time at DHHS I was offered numerous scholarships in academics as well as extracurricular activies. I believe DHHS well prepared me for the college environment. The Teachers are also very helpful do truly care about the education that you receive there.

My son has been a student at Druid Hills for 2 years now and he loves it. It gives him more opportunity to better himself and prepare him for college then the school he transferred from. The teachers really do want to help the students grow into responsible adults. I do recommend this school to students who are not sure of their future and those who need to see what they can accomplish. There are many opportunities out there and Druid Hills points them out to the student. It also does not hurt to have Emory University right next door. My son and my self will be proud to say he graduated from Druid Hills.

Our family has really liked Druid Hills. The academics are good (we do find an occasional weak class, & we hire a tutor when this happens-this expense is a lot cheaper than paying private school tuition), most sports programs are very inclusive, & the student mix is great! Druid Hills has a strong community feel. My child just graduated from Druid Hills, and based on her school record, obtained a generous scholarship to a well-regarded university. This is a good indication that Druid Hills prepared her well, and she is the type of student that universities seek.

My daughter graduated from DHHS in 2002. She threw herself into the many athletic, extracurricular as well as scholastic opportunities. She particularly enjoyed the wonderfully diverse population. What a great mix! The A.P. classes were challenging and those teachers were generally inspiring. The school embraced students with a variety of interests. One of her male classmates from Russia auditioned with an all black dance group at the school...and made it! It's not all about sports at Druid Hills yet they still enjoy the long-standing tradition of float building every fall. Druid Hills High School has many traditions. I would send her there again. If you want to see the school, watch 'Remember the Titans' with Denzel Washington.
