Brown Elementary School Reviews

This is a great school. I have had children in this school since 2003 and they have all been very successful. This year (2009) my youngest child will be entering kindergarten at Brown. I have been able to talk to the teachers and voice my concerns and have those concerns acted upon. The administrators at this school have an open door policy and have never failed to address my concerns small or large. Yes, I have run into good and bad teachers in this school but because I am involved with my children I was able to make sure they had great learning experiences regardless. No school is perfect. I would highly recommend Brown Elementary

Brown Elementary is a excellent school because I have 2 daughters there and one of they have ADHD. I would tell anyone moving to Clayton County to look as for Brown Elememtary.

Brown serves my 2 children who both have special needs. It has a family environment, parents are encouraged to be actively involved in their children's education, and the staff and administrators have always gone out of their way to find out and then meet the needs of my particular children. Teachers have for the past 5 yrs enrolled 100% in PTA. And the teachers we've had were board certified and very competent. If we could get a lot more parents involved in PTA and the like, this would be an extraordinary school, and it already is a great one!

My child has attended this school for two years and this is our last, I am not at all happy about the teacher clicks and the labeling of children by teachers. Very few adults at the school want to get involved in real issuses.

I have had a 'OK' experience with this school. The education level seems to depend on the teacher. And as far as the bathrooms, they are not kept stocked with soap and paper towels on a regular basis. They are trying to 'Save' since the kids play in the soap. I wish the school had a more diverse student population.

This school, compared to the other public schools we have experienced with my daughter, was academically unacceptable. The teacher wasn't mentally qualified to teach these children nor was the school acceptable on a cleanliness level. I am now homeschooling my daughter, something I said I would never do.
