Rivers Elementary School Reviews

It has been great to watch the surrounding community FINALLY get it that E Rivers is such a gem. Rivers has done nothing but strengthen since our 2 sons graduated -- one of whom is a Senior at Duke, the other a graduate of Emory. They both say the best teacher they ever had was Mrs. Smith in 5th grade.

My daughter has been attending E. Rivers for 3 years now and we couldn't be happier with the quality of education she is receiving. The school's diversity is a real advantage and one the school recognizes and celebrates. My son will start E. Rivers in the Fall and we are thrilled to send 2 children to such a great neighborhood school.

I'm a grandparent who does some volunteer work at E. Rivers and I have nothing but positive to say about the school, the teachers and the principal. It's diverse atmosphere which is wonderful preparation for adulthood with an entire school community that constantly strives to make everything top notch for the students.

We love E. Rivers! After comparing all the local private schools, we could not believe our first choice for our son would be our local public school - but it is! It has a diverse, international feel in the middle of Atlanta. I highly recommend E. Rivers!

This school is truly the best kept secret in Buckhead. Unlike many other schools in the area, we are not overcrowded. Each student recieves the individual attention that they need. The teachers are the best. THey are warm, caring and challenging, all at the same time. The schoool's diverse student body make it a great place to learn about different cultures and beliefs from around the world. Why would you NOT want to send your child to this wonderfully, enriching school??

E. rivers is a wonderful and loving school. it's academic values are superb. All the teachers are all so kind, when i hear other kids' horror stories of their evil teachers i just cant relate. the challenge teacher is very smart and an excellent teacher all in all. I've been very well prepared for middle school and have high a's in all my classes thanks to my excellent education at e. rivers! the diversity is wonderful, with many children from all different backrounds. The french program is absolutely great with the best teachers out there. the new principal is great, he takes care of all the problems, from disiplinary to academic, easily and is a great addition to E.rivers! if i were deciding on which school to send my child, i would chose E. Rivers in a heartbeat!

E. Rivers is the best little secret in Buckhead elementary school education. It is loving, very sweet environment for children and provides a great education. My son started taking French in kindergarten and giving oral book reports. The advanced placement teacher seems more like a college professor and the staff is very, very dedicated and friendly; overall, an outstanding environment and the diversity--(kids from loving families from all over the world) makes it a truly magical experience. I was hesitant before I stepped through the door, since it isn't as popular as some other district schools. Once I did, I have never considered anything else for my child. It has been an enriching experience in so many ways.

E. Rivers is a wonderful school from top to bottom. We relocated to Atlanta after Katrina, everyone at the school welcomed not just my daughter, but our family into theirs. The curriculum at E. Rivers is stimulating and I could not have hand picked a better faculty. My daughter was in the first grade last year with Ms. Cheroff and had a great year! We have returned to New Orleans and my daughter wants to move back to Atlanta to continue school there. We really miss E. Rivers, there is none like it. Thanks to all of the faculty an staff at Rivers!

The academis programs here are great. From french, to art, to music the stduents will be well rounded when they leave this school.

Great School - it has a French Program and a low student to teacher ratio. There are well respected Counselors and an excellent principal. The cultural diversity makes it rich the PTA moms are a pain but they mean well. _ Great School!

E. Rivers is a small school that is culturally diverse. It is more like a salad bowl where every culture is respected and not forced to assimilate. My daughter loves the school and her teachers. This is the type of school I wanted for my child, it is rich with culture and experiences. The PTA is strong and parental involvement is very high!

The school is great. Teachers don't leave, they only retire. Our figures are low only because we have alot of Hispanics in our area and the children come to us with no english and have to learn but are still required to take the tests off the bat.
