St. Timothy School Reviews

Really, St. Timothy is a good school when it comes to education however they will nickle and dime you to the very end. It would be better if they told you the real cost of yor child attending the school up front. When you look at all you pay for at this school it is much much higher than expected. Lunch, aftercare/ before care, so called volunteering (yes you are charged if you donot) you do get complimentary free air to breathe and lots of smiles from the teacher because they know no matter what you say. They will get you at the end.

St. Timothy is indeed a great school. I take pleasure in dropping my son off in the am knowing how much he enjoy learning there. I would and have recommended St. Timothy to others. Kudos to the teachers and administrators at St. Timothy School !! You really make a difference in the lives of our precious children !

I wish I could give St. Timothy School a rating of 4.5 stars. It is a really good school where students get a firm academic foundation in a loving, Christian environment from a dedicated staff. I am also the parent of a St. Timothy grad who improved his standardized test scores significantly, annually.

The school is great, but the lunch is not so great. Most of the teachers are very friendly.I would recommend anyone with younger kids to go there.

I think that the school often tries very hard, but falls short in several areas. They are poorly staffed and under funded. They use a large number of substitute and part-time teachers. While there are many dedicated teachers, many of the teachers seem to regard their jobs as part-time social opportunities. Teachers tend to overuse tangible rewards like candy with children. Also, many of the teachers have children in the class which they are teaching. This is a great school if you are one of the 'in-crowd', but is lacking for many other children. Forty percent of the students in my child's class did not choose to return the next year.

I must say that my family is extremely please with St. Timothy's. This will be our second year and we are looking forward to the 2007-2008 school year to begin. The smaller class size and one on one attention my child receives is something you just can't find in most public schools. I can truly say that I have seen a huge positive change in my child, since we decided to move him out of the dekalb county public school system. The staff/administration is excellent and it really shows. The encouragement my child receives from the staff and the positive change in my child is says a lot about St. Timothy. Kudos.....

Both of my children go to St. Timothy and they are a great school in every way. The quality of teaching is exceptional in a caring and nurturing environment. One of my children is a high achiever and there are programs to challenge him more. There are also tutoring for those who need extra-help in classes. Also, the variety of afterschool activities are awesome-- art, chess, cooking, karate, gymnastics are just a few. Also, the administration are very responsive..As you can see, I can't say enough...it is a great school!
