I work within walking distance and eat at Carolyn's at least three days per week. The food is great and there are plenty of choices (sandwich, pizza, salad, soup) to suit any appetite.
In six years, I have never had a bad experience.
Two thumbs up!!!

I go to Carolyn's for lunch at least once a week and happy hour because they are walking distance from my office- they have great food- sandwiches and personal pizzas. We love Carolyn's! They recently did a lunch catering job for my office too which was great....highly recommend Carolyn's for lunch/happy hour. Great spot in Midtown.

I recently moved to town from Chicago and I came across a great little place in mid-town, it had the vibe of very hip place you might fine in the neighborhoods of downtown Chicago, i.e. Wriggleyville, Lincoln Park.
I was very pleased to see that they offer "Boars Head' meats, they have some of the finesst cuts of meat money can buy, and all there breads are baked fresh, and the ingredinents also are very fresh.
I had a wrap my first visit and it was splendid, my second trip i tried one of there burgers and that also had great flavor, I noticed that they have a great lunch business, the day I was there lines out the door, I knew then I came to the right spot.
I saw that they had cute little bar that would be great for business people to meet after work for a beverage or two and network, I personally think places like this our hard to come by, great service, wonderful food, and right in your own backyard.
I plan to bring out-town-guests here and friends if they want a low key vibe, I hope more people discover what I did, and take the time to check it out.
I also found out on a later visit that they do catering which to me is great, all the local business around should be taking advantage of that service.
I wish them all the best...

I found out about Carolyn's because they catered my office lunch and was amazing food - fresh fruit, & yummy sandwiches.
So I've made Carolyn's my destination lunch spot- I eat there at least once a week- the sandwiches are awesome, and they have killer pizzas too.
This is a great place to go for happy hour too, since it's right in midtown on 14th & west peachtree. They have a full bar, and there's always cute business men hanging out for a drink after work :) great patio, live music on Friday nights- a block away from the bars on crescent so I've been a few times for a quick, inexpensive dinner before going out to the bars. All in all, Carolyn's is one of my favorite spots in midtown. Portions? I've never left hungry.
Sandwich size is almost comical

Went for lunch with a work colleague, both of us ordered the rueben sandwich (Conqueror) along with a cup of soup. Even though we ordered different soups, both were cold but the real issue was with the sandwich. What we received was almost comically small, it did not even come close to even covering the bread. There could not have been more than a single ounce of meat on it and it was supposed to have both pastrami and corned beef. Both of us thought there was a mistake made and inquired. We were told that it was a measured amount of meat and that was normal. Having been there several times in the past we knew that was not typical in our previous visits. We asked to speak to a manager and were informed that there was no manager, just the cashier and the order taker. Neither was willing to correct the situation. We asked if we could just pay the difference between the half and the full, and as you can probably guess, since there was no button on the cash register for that amount they could not do that either. This was really kind of ridiculous, particularly since there website claims ?Service with a smile and a complete 100% guarantee are the beginning of your positive experience at Carolyn's Gourmet Cafe?. I would not recommend this place to anyone that has a normal appetite, you will most certainly walk away from there hungry after spending 5.49 half/ 6.99 whole sandwich. I don?t need something the size of the New Yorker deli?s sandwiches, but at least don?t make me walk away hungry.
Pros: Nice patio
Cons: Tiny portion, poor value/poor service
