Feathers on my hotwings

The issue stands alone with this one, because of the improper preparation of the food I will never be able to eat another hot wing again. As I was taking another bite into my hot wing I noticed these tiny little white lines in which of two seconds realized were in fact the feathers to the chicken I was about to eat. At that particular moment I started plucking off the several feathers the cook decided to leave as little presents for me and showed them to my waitress...Granted, she did tell her manager and they DID comp me for my food (after I declined their offer for MORE free hot wings, feathered I'm sure) But, they still made me pay for my mimosa and bloody mary. Honestly, I feel like I may have been more than entitled to a few free drinks after that scaring incident.
Pros: quiet
Cons: improper preperation of food
Great Place To Be Heckled By The EMPLOYEES

I went to Firkin to watch one of my team's football games and have a few pints. I am a normal patron of TacoMac, and wanted to check out Firkin to compare. As my team's game started, we asked if the could turn on the sound for our game. The employee in charge of the sound asked if we really needed to hear the game, because the sound controls were "all the way upstairs". Then about 15 minutes into our team's game, we noticed the booth behind us was heckling us. Not uncommon for a bar, with the exception that two of the hecklers were Firkin employees on-duty, who were hanging out with their two buddies (patrons). Obviously there was no management in sight to tell the employees to get to work and quit heckling the patrons. Nonetheless, there are adequate TVs to watch games, the food menu is comprable to most pub-fare restaurants in town, the beer selection is not as good as TacoMac's. Being that the two restaurants are practically next to each other, I would save the hastle of being treated like crap and go next door to TacoMac where the employees are a lot nicer and the beer selection is a lot better.
Pros: TVs
Cons: Staff
Nice Firkin Place

I just happen to live right across the street from this Pub and I was very excited when they started building it. The only thing i've had a choice to eat beforehand is Taco Mac, Urban Flats and Five Guys Burgers. Taco Mac is way too corporate and run absolutely no specials what so ever. Urban Flats is good but too yuppy for my taste. Five Guys burgers is awesome in terms of burgers but I need variety. With that said, The Firkin Pub falls right in line with what Im looking for. They are owner operated (Ive met both Len and Kimberly) which are awesome folks, and bend over backwards to make sure customers are taken care of.
The food is also awesome. Ive had quite a bit on the menu and the portions are very generous and has a homemade taste to it all.
The beer is probably the coldest around so that alone is worthy of 5 starts.
In my opinion, a couple of the other post are not being at all fair to this place. If your going to drop in just on one day, which just happens to be the grand opening and expect to get served like in a "white table cloth" restaurant then I think your sadly mistaken. Like ive said, I live right across the street from this place and have been coming here for two months now and the service is ALWAYS great. And yes I was there for the grand opening as well and it was an absolute packed house!!! Ive noticed 3 bartenders Anthony, Sherry and Ted (god maybe ive been there too much to know everyone's names.) It was way too crowed for me but it was the grand opening and its normally not this bad in terms of the crowds.
I absolutely loved the addition of Beer Pong and Flip cup that night. I think I went through 4 pitchers.
Anyway, keep up the good work guys and as usual Ill be there with all my friends this weekend as well. So save me a spot at the bar!!!!
Pros: Ice Cold Beer, Homestyle Food to die for
Cons: Weekend music might be too loud for me, maybe im just old.
TERRIBLE SERVICE

This opening has been talked about so much, and I too was pretty excited to spend my Saturday evening at this location. But sad to say I just wasted a Saturday night. I could not order from a waitress because I only saw her every 30 minutes. Then it took the next 30 minutes to get what I ordered. So I was told (by other not so happy customers) to go to the bar and order or else I would be waiting forever to get anything. Needless to say everyone was following suit, so the line at the bar was crazy. Oh yeah, it was only 9:00pm, so not that many people were there (in my opinion).
For season odd reason, they have the smallest bar packed right next to eating tables. So while people were pushing their way through the few people we were stepping all over people that were trying to sit at tables. They only had ONE bartender working on their opening night, riddle me that! So it took forever to get a drink. I decided that I didn't want to waste my money on this place and I was just going to get a water. After waiting for 30 minutes at the bar I finally got asked what I wanted, I told the bartender, and her response was "Go stick your head under the facet." Lets just say that did not leave me with a good opinion of this place.
At one point I saw the owner hanging out in the corner talking to the security, and I am just wondering why an owner would let this terrible service continue and talk to the security? They had 3-4 security guards, ONE BARTENDER, and probably only 3 waitresses. Seem like they are spending money in the wrong area?
One would think that a bar and/or restruarant would be fully prepared for a Grand Opening, but I guess they didn't see it all that important. I would hate to see the service on a different night.
They are in a great location especially for a night time bar, but it's possibly the worst experience I have ever had in Atlanta (I've lived here for over 6 years). I do NOT recommend going to this place.
Pros: The promotors (everyone except the Firkin and Lindbergh staf
Cons: Almost Everything

What can I say... Firkin fantastic. We were there for lunch today and the food was superb. We have been on a mission to find some real sausages in the tri-state area (GA, NC, SC) and you guys win hands down. The chicken curry was awesome, as was the cottage pie. The staff are very friendly and the decor is great. Thanks for the extra special service we received. We wish you all the success on a great place.
Pros: Best English Sausages in the Tri-State (NC, SC, GA)
Cons: NONE
