Vinocity: Divine Wine in Kirkwood

Vinocity offers good food and divine wine in a cozy restaurant in the heart of Kirkwood —  a hip, up-and-coming pocket neighborhood on the east side of Atlanta.

The restaurant/bar inhabits a soaring split-level space divided into a well-stocked bar, plush couches for sitting and sipping, and a romantic upstairs nook for enjoying a meal and wine.

Vinocity’s award-winning wine selection includes more than 70 boutique wines poured by the glass. It boasts the city’s largest Cruvinet wine preservation system, a temperature-controlled device that ensures your glass of wine is as fresh as the day the bottle was uncorked.

The restaurant also operates a small wine store where you can buy bottles of your favorite grape. Other cocktails are available: ask for a sweet mimosa or an award-winning Dr. Feelgood Bloody Mary.

Executive Chef Will Jackson and staff serve up well-prepared American favorites, 
Lunch offerings including deli sandwiches such as the VK Club and the Black and Bleu Burger. Vinocity’s hot and peppery French fries are among the best you’ll ever have.

After 5 p.m., out comes the dinner menu, which includes a 16-ounce bone-in rib eye steak, pan-seared grouper  and homemade pasta marinara.

Vinocity works hard to attract customers and appeals to a wide array of clientele, from hip singles to couples enjoying an anniversary dinner. Live entertainment is often on the bill. Check the website for updates.

Daily: Happy hour from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., buy one appetizer and get one free.
Monday: Trivia Night where, starting at 7:30 pm, you can win gift cards.
Tuesday: Buy one entrée and get the second half off after 5 p.m.
Wednesday: Kids 6 and under eat free.
Thursday: Buy one starter, get the second free.
